DESCRIPTION
Mathstoria is a game-based platform that includes an individual student interface as well as offline activities and lessons. Unlike most “math game” platforms, Mathstoria is designed to deepen student understanding of mathematical concepts, while also engaging their Mathematical Competencies. The platform is available in English and French and includes all strands of the BC curriculum.
TOOLS & FEATURES
- Teacher account with individual student interfaces: activities may be assigned individually or whole class.
- Game play merged with conceptual pedagogy.
- Games and activities for most key concepts in the BC curriculum at each grade level French and English available.
COST
Teachers can receive a license through the Digital Toolbox or schools can purchase a license with LRS funds through Purchasing.
DISTRICT USE: CONDITIONAL
- This resource requires a signed Technology Tool Consent form for student use in the Surrey School District
- This resource is approved for K - 12 classroom use in the Surrey School District. It is recommended for Gr. 4-6 student use

Users please note:
- This resource collects computer information (IP address and location).
- This is an online elementary resource that is hosted in Canada.
- Student accounts require First Name, Last Initial only. Usernames and passwords are automatically generated, after which students only use those credentials to access the game.
- There is no chat group or other forum in which students might inadvertently share personal information.
- There are no privacy concerns with this resource.
