PRIVACY INFO
- Magic School uses OpenAI’s application program interface (API) to power its AI functionality.
- According to their Privacy Policy, Magic School has, by default, opted out of sharing user data with Open AI to train their AI models, BUT individual users may choose to opt in to data sharing. Teachers are not encouraged to opt in to data sharing.
- Magic School does caution teachers against using student names, email addresses or any other PI when generating tools or content using the platform. Teachers should take this advice seriously.
- Teachers should, in particular, use caution when using the platform to generate report cards, develop IEP goals or for any activity when student personal information might be inadvertently shared with the system. e.g. behaviour management plans.
- This platform is hosted in the United States of America. Student and teacher data will be transferred to and stored outside of Canada.
