Rueben George is Sundance Chief and a member of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. As the manager of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation's Sacred Trust initiative, he is a renowned voice for Indigenous people fighting for water, land and human rights.
Ovila Mailhot is a Coast Salish graphic artist, originally from Seabird Island reservation in Chilliwack, whose roots are both of Sto:lo & Nlaka’pamux Nation. Ovila shares how the elements of traditional Coast Salish designs connect to his culture and the land he grew up on. Following his teachings, he will facilitate participants through a directed drawing.
