This workshop is offered in response to questions from LST and classroom teachers about how to support late intermediate grade students who are at the early stages of developing foundational math skills. We will begin by identifying the key foundational math skills and look at assessment methods to target the skills. Next, we will explore instructional strategies and materials to support the targeted skills and progress monitoring strategies. The topics will range from counting to 1000, addition and subtraction facts to 18, and multiplication and division facts to 81. The materials shown will be shared digitally through a One Drive folder or a dedicated Office Team.
