The PERMA framework correlates with improved health, job satisfaction, professional thriving, and commitment. The model, created by Dr. Martin Seligman, consists of six concepts which he believes are fundamental pillars of human well-being and highlights how ensuring these concepts are given time, attention and focus can lead to a happier, more engaged and fulfilling life. These concepts can be applied to our own well-being but also to those we support. This workshop will provide a framework for understanding and teaching the PERMA model as a foundation for improving our own well-being and the lives of the students we support.
