A large body of literature documents clear associations between young children’s oral language skills and literacy development. During this session, we will explore explicit methods for growing young children’s language comprehension, with a particular focus on building vocabulary. The strategies shared will focus on enhancing language development, increasing engagement, and building community. Participants will leave with instructional practices ready for implementation.
This session may be of particular interest to teachers who are new to primary.
