Wondering how you can turn your class into a group of logophiles? Then this session is for you! In Morphology Matters, we will look at how morphological strategies and structures can help in building students’ vocabulary. Research shows that morphological awareness helps with other areas of literacy such as vocabulary learning, read alouds, spelling and reading comprehension. You will understand the interrelation between morphology, etymology, and phonology using a structured approach to word reading and comprehension. Learn some fun and practical ways to help your students become logophiles!
A logophile is someone who loves words!
