You and your staff are invited to learn, prioritize, and plan for joy in small meaningful ways this upcoming school year. Regardless of your specific role or context, there will be something that feels like a “yes, let’s try this!”.
Based on the book by Deonna Smith (2023) Rooted in Joy: Creating a classroom culture of equity, belonging, and care, our time together will explore important mindsets, key components of healthy classroom ecosystems (including routines, environments, and systems), as well as proactive approaches to behaviour. This session is designed for staff to engage in conversations and learning together in community, and will include a combination of reflection, dialogue, and putting the learning into action.
