Participants will learn about pre-colonial ways of measuring time; in particular, how Indigenous people used natural celestial and seasonal cycles to track the passage of time and organize their activities. The Indigenous Helping teachers will facilitate this learning, and International Languages and French Immersion Helping Teachers Lily Kamarn, Beverley Bunker and Alicia Logie will provide ideas of how this knowledge can be used in Elementary and Secondary Core French and French Immersion classrooms.
