This workshop, led by Dene Beader, Crystal Behn, will include basic introduction to Dene style beadwork. Pre-made kits will be available and will include all materials to complete each individual project. Participants will design their own pattern and choose from an assortment of colours for their design. Instructor will demonstrate many different techniques for bead layout. Workshop format will include demonstration to detail, explanation on materials used and a basic background knowledge to the materials such as the hand smoked moose hide and the difference compared to factory tanned hide.
A kit consisting of Authentic hand smoked moose hide cut out, bag of assorted coloured seed beads, key ring, thread, beading mat, long & short beading needles, assorted larger glass beads for edging will be provided for each registrant.
