Online weekly current event articles with discussion questions and made to the article. There are opportunities for writing such as for reflection, opinion or other connections made to the article. Numerous activities are provided for teachers to develop lessons on the current event.

TOOLS & FEATURES
Articles, videos, audio clips and teacher lesson ideas covering current events. Topics include environment, Indigenous perspectives, politics, health, science, culture, animals, and history.
OTHER INFORMATION
New articles come out frequently, usually weekly during the school year. These are connected to current event topics. Teachers should preview prior to suggesting. Be aware that some links connect to outside sources which may not be appropriate to grade level and may not be in French.
PROTECTION OF INFORMATION GUIDELINES
This resource requires Teachers to set up an account for use. Surrey Teachers are encouraged to use their District email to do so and provide the least amount of personal information during the set up. When setting up Student accounts, Teachers are required to provide the least amount of personal information possible and encouraged to anonymize when possible. In the resource, Teachers are encouraged to use the "accept & private" feature when commenting/reviewing student work as the "accept & publish" feature allows any user of the resource to view the Teachers comment/review.
