Topic: Meaningful AI Student Use - Dinner Series

This professional learning series supports educators in strengthening Communicating Student Learning by designing clear, growth focused learning stories that reflect student voice, thinking, and progress over time.

Across three after school or dinner time sessions, educators will collaboratively gather classroom tools, exemplars, sentence starters, and annotated learning stories that model responsible AI use and align with district expectations for student engagement with AI. Participants will explore how AI can act as a helpful assistant or collaborative thinking partner - supporting organization, reflection, and clarity - while keeping professional judgment and student voice at the centre.

A key outcome of this initiative is the creation of district ready CSL learning story tools and examples that will populate the teacher facing CSL section of the district website, ensuring coherence between classroom practice, student expectations, and family communication.
