How do I convert a Google Slides file (e.g. from Teachers Pay Teachers) so that I can use it as a digital worksheet or handout with my class?

  1. Open your Google Slides file
  2. Go to File > Download > Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) (make sure you are using the Google Slides File menu, not your browser's File menu)
  3. After the PowerPoint file has been downloaded to your device, go to Teams
  4. Go to the general channel of your team
  5. Click on the Assignments tab at the top of the general channel
  6. Click the purple Create button, then click on Assignment
  7. Click the Add Resources button
  8. Click on “Upload from this Device”
  9. Choose your PowerPoint file
  10. After it’s been uploaded, click the ellipsis on the right side and choose “Students edit their own copy”
  11. Finish entering the rest of your assignment details and click the Save button
