DETAILS:

Presenter: Lily Kamarn
Date: Ongoing
Time: Varies
Location: In School

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Teachers will choose 1 of 2 project-based ideas as a co-teaching opportunity.

1.    Using the book "My Heart Fills with Happiness" by Monique Gray Smith. This project supports the well-being of the self and reciprocal relationships by reflecting on what fills your heart with happiness. It provides the opportunity for students to be reflective on what is embedded in memory, history and story.

2.    Salish Sea Animal Cards. This project connects to learning about animals and their relationship with people, the land and spirits. It is an opportunity for learners to explore Indigenous perspectives, art forms of animals by Coast Salish artists and learn animal names in Punjabi or French.
