Text Talk: Building Vocabulary through Read-Alouds is a three session series which seeks to bring together primary teachers to examine evidence-based practices in vocabulary instruction, explore sample lessons in their classrooms, and then write their own picture book-based vocabulary lessons to be shared with colleagues in the district. Teachers will receive a copy of Bringing Words to Life: Robust Vocabulary Instruction, by Beck, McKeown, and Kucan. As well, teachers will receive their choice of two Text Talk picture books at the close of the sessions. Please click here to view the flyer and registration link.
