Schools are invited to submit an application to have Numeracy Helping Teacher, Jess Kyle, spend time "in residence" at your school.
In collaboration with the school administrator and professional development committee, Jess will design a residency to suit the needs of the school. While in residence, Jess will work out of the school one or more days a week for a determined period of time.
Activities during this time can include:
- informal meetings (prep and break times)
- co-planning and scheduled classroom visits (modelling or co-teaching)
- Lunch and Learns
- school-wide math events (math festival, family math night), or
- other activities co-planned with the school
