Are you new to teaching Core French? Wondering what Core French learning looks, sounds, and feels like in a classroom? This full day session will focus on examining our own experience with French in school and how this might impact our approach to teaching and learning languages. We will explore the district's recommended resources - Échos Pro and Club Mystère - and how these can be used to support teachers who are new to teaching Gr. 5-7 Core French. You will also experience firsthand what it means to learn through an active, communicative approach. Participants will walk away with the confidence to begin teaching Core French in a fun, engaging manner that supports a positive sense of teacher and student identity (even if you don't speak French!)
