In this initiative we will dig into SEL & Equity through literature and inquiry. Participating schools will receive a collection of picture books and two chapter books that elevate diverse voices and give launching points for teachers to dive into their inquiry.
Schools with 2-3 teachers will commit to engaging in this inquiry sprint consisting of an introductory dinner session at DEC, working alongside a district SEL Helping Teacher or Advocate in their classrooms or schools and one virtual afterschool session. (January 23 is the virtual session 3:30-4:45pm).
