The ELPATS (Early Literacy Phonemic Awareness Tool Surrey) is a formative assessment tool to measure and monitor children’s mastery of critical phonemic awareness skills. This tool underwent an evidence-informed revision in 2023, alongside the creation of a digital app for classroom teachers to administer the assessment easily and capture student data automatically.
