Students who have strong literacy skills can think critically, make meaning of a variety of texts, communicate effectively, and participate in society as thoughtful, informed citizens. This series focuses on building background knowledge and vocabulary to enhance reading comprehension within specific disciplines. Teachers will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of disciplinary literacy and have time to plan and implement strategies to support their students.
