We are excited to offer a book study opportunity to deepen your understanding and knowledge of microaggressions, as well as provide some suggested responses and strategies. This book study will maintain an intersectional perspective inclusive of race, gender, and physical abilities. “Microintervention Strategies: What you can do to Disarm and Dismantle Individual and Systemic Racism and Bias” provides a conceptual framework of antibias strategies that can be applied to combat the bias and discrimination you may encounter in schools. The 5 sessions will focus on using your foundational knowledge of microaggressions & macroaggressions, applying skills in real life, and reflecting on your personal and professional practice, as well as engaging in meaningful conversations with participants.
