Heggerty Phonemic Awareness resources support consistent phonological and phonemic awareness instruction as a supplement to existing early literacy curriculum. Heggerty's 2022 editions are available in SD36's Learning Resources catalogue. The classroom resources are designed for brief, explicit instruction or practice and are available for three levels of complexity:
- Pre-K
- Kindergarten
- Primary
Learn more about phonological and phonemic awareness from a recorded workshop, "Nurturing Phonological Awareness", found HERE. Find video examples of hand motions that accompany the lessons HERE.
