The International Dyslexia Association published the following document summarizing the research and classroom implications for phoneme awareness. 


"Building Phoneme Awareness:Know What Matters" (2022), support teachers wishing to learn more about phoneme awareness, why it is necessary, and how it develops. The fact sheet also contains tips for effective practices to build children’s phoneme awareness.
