DESCRIPTION
Tracker is a free video analysis and modeling tool built on the Open Source Physics (OSP) Java framework hosted by the AAPT. It is designed to be used in physics education, to capture videos of science phenomena and analyze data with computer modeling.
TOOLS & FEATURES
- FREE online tool that allows students to import videos of hands-on labs involving motion of objects and track the motion by clicking the location on each frame of the video.
- Tool creates data tables and multiple graphs for analysis of complex motion.

Tracker Online is approved for classroom use in the Surrey School District.
PRIVACY INFO
- No user accounts are created or maintained.
- No personal information is required, collected or stored when simply using the software to analyse a video in real time.
- Teachers should ensure no students or other individuals are captured on user-created videos without their consent.
- Teachers should be aware that if a student saves a Tracker file they created, either to “My Library” or the “Shared” libraries, an automatic HTML information page is created, with associated metadata, including the author’s name, contact/school information and other information from the file or creator. This will open and display automatically when someone else opens the file.
