You Say I Say

GVZOO Animals

For Infants and Toddlers

  • Respond to their sounds and gestures by verbally labelling what they want/need. For example, if they cry, verbally respond by saying, “Oh are you hungry?”.  If they put their hands up to you, “Oh you want to be picked up.”
  • Model bigger sentences by building on what your child says. For example, if your child looks at their shirt and says, “one dog,” you can respond by saying, “You have one dog on your shirt.”
