Local Nations

Learning about the local First Nations is essential for building respect and understanding the longer histories of this land. In Surrey, we respectfully acknowledge the Kwantlen, Katzie, and Semiahmoo Nations, on whose traditional and unceded territories we live, learn, and work. We also recognize the many other Coast Salish peoples who continue to use and care for this land.
