Topic: AI in Practice: Deepening Classroom Impact - February 9th - 4 - 7pm
Facilitators: David A’Bear, Andrew Goertzen, Sharon Lau, Brianna Stusiak
At this dinner session, we will continue to explore how artificial intelligence (A.I.) can be a powerful tool to support educators and students in both elementary and secondary classrooms. This hands-on, working session invites you to step into the learner’s seat and experience the kinds of student‑facing AI tools that are rapidly becoming part of everyday learning.
Throughout the evening, you’ll have dedicated time to experiment with AI to design differentiated learning activities grounded in evidence‑driven instructional practices. You’ll also engage in guided discussions, collaborative problem‑solving, and playful exploration as we consider how AI can enhance creativity, critical thinking, and personalized learning.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll walk away with practical, classroom‑ready ideas as well as a clearer understanding of how students are interacting with AI — and how you can harness these tools to deepen engagement and support diverse learners. This session is designed to be interactive, reflective, and highly collaborative, offering a supportive space to learn, question, and imagine what’s possible.
